The following information is for Student Education Plan Conferences. These topics will be talked about at SEP Conferences.
  1. Yellow Cards - Make sure to keep phone, address, and emergency contact information current. Free and Reduced application. Check Powerschool information sheet for corrections.
  2. Lunch Application Filled Out for Title 1.
  3. Health issues - Are there any health issues that might be or become a problem at school (i.e. allergies, medications)
  4. Custody issues - Are the any issues?
  5. Check in at Office - Make sure that anyone that comes to check out a student needs to check in at the office. Before school issues. Kids come at 8:30am.
  6. Attendance - Students need to be in school to be successful. If a student is absent, they need to make up all work. To help make sure students are in school, there is an attendance policy. Each absence counts as 2 points and each tardy is 1 point. At 10 and 20 points, a letter will be sent home to let parents know how important it is to be at school. At 30 points, a letter will be sent to remind parents that attending school is a law. At 40 points, students will be referred to the School District.
  7. P.A.S.S. (Positive Attendance Spells Success)
  8. Phone Calls to the school - Please keep phone messages to students to a minimum.
  9. Assignments - Planner information/parent signature, wiki assignments, math homework/parent signature, First in Math, Powerschool, email and Google Docs.
  10. Homework Schedule - Videos for Language, Spelling and Math. Make sure students are keeping to the Homework schedule. Go over word sort nightly schedule.
  11. After School/Before School - Readabout and computer time before school. After school Math for students with 2 or less.
  12. CRT Testing - Have students show scores from last year and tell their plan about how they will get better. Testing ideas for the week of tests.
  13. Kids Space - After school from 3:30-5:30. Monday-Thursday. Homework help, activities, For more information check at the office. FIll out application and turn into the office.
  14. Volunteering - Wednesday and Thursday Morning Language 10:45 - 11:45.

Activities at school
-Invite parents to our Hero Day/9-11 Flag raising commemoration and Celebration Parade on Sept. 12th at 9:00am.
-Positive Attendance SS program for an iPad. Attendance and tardy.
-Art Museum in October.
-Field Trip to Zion Canyon (hopefully) in October.


SEP Schedule

SEP Conferences are in the Red Mountain Gym. We have no more than 4 students signed up for each hour period. You can come at anytime within the hour you have signed up for. Each SEP will last about 15-20 minutes. Students do not need to come to this SEP Conference. If there is a problem with being able to show up at any of these times, let Mr. Andersen know and we will work out a better time for you.
